How to relieve stress?

stressFirst tip (remember) - no caffeine. If you’re like how I used to be and you’re currently downing 6 or seven cups of tea or coffee a day and have feelings of anxiety then this needs to stop.

I every day gradually persistently cut down to 2 cups of a morning and nothing after lunch time and this had a major impact on how I reacted to stressful situations in a very positive way. Swap coffee or tea with herbal drinks if you like a hot drink at home or work, they in themselves have calming properties, especially chamomile. Have you ever noticed how jittery you feel after several cups of coffee? And I bet most of you are doing what I used to do and spend a fortune in expensive coffee shops. I remember getting myself stressed out to try and make the coffee shop before catching my train at the last moment for my commute. What was I thinking? Here is what I was actually doing; Spending a fortune on coffee (sign equality) stress. Drinking too much coffee (again sign equality) stress. Rushing for work as I was late = Stress. Solution stop drinking coffee = Triple stress relief in one easy step! Drinking less tea or coffee has a positive impact on healthy sleeping patterns. Accutane online without presciption, is clinically proven to reduce stress levels and improve your mentally capacity to deal with anxiety.

You still poorly? Now the second tip: learn something new. Our mind is a wonderful and very powerful thing. When it is stimulated and adapting to new learning it slows us down and makes us more relaxed. Yes I know that doesn’t sound correct but it is. Did you ever notice as a child how the days, and weeks, and even the summer vacation seemed to go on forever. Well this is down to the fact that as a child we are constantly learning new things and the more we are learning the slower life seems. Equate that to being an adult now and how life seems to be passing us by in no time. This is down to the fact that as an adult in both our home and work life we are completing the same repetitive tasks, our brain is so used to doing these tasks that we do them on auto-pilot hence we are doing things subconsciously. This in turn gives the illusion that life is going so quickly. So if you would like life to seem to last a bit longer then learn something new. Try a language or even attempt a new hobby, you will make new friends in doing so and it’s cheaper than therapy! Another great stress buster and brain training technique is to attempt crosswords or the Sudoku. Getting the brain doing new tasks really does wake up the senses. The feel good factor when actually getting that clue that has had you stumped is undervalued to say the least.

Last tip: to recap, fewer possessions mean less stress!

I bet as you are reading this at home you can notice out of the corner of your eye shelves of books, DVD’s and CD’s. I would even hazard a guess that you have many more possessions hidden away in cupboards and even for some of you stashed away in the loft or storage.

My advice is to dump the lot, sell what you can and give the rest away to charity shops. I’d especially get rid of the junk that you may have hidden away. It’s hidden because you never use it, therefore you may as well get rid of it. Would you believe I had a storage container full of old clothes, books, furniture that for some reason I thought I’d use again but in reality I never would. Paying the storage fees every month was a pain and every time I saw the payment leave my account I always stressed about having to sort my container out. I could have done without this stress at the time so I got to work and sold everything in storage and cancelled my payment. I made money from selling my possession I didn’t need or would never use again, I saved money by not having to pay for storage anymore, and I stopped stressing about it too.
